Mantic Mycelium Panels

Dedicated to the late Maria Sabina and indigenous healers, this work draws inspiration from Sabina's mushroom veladas and honors those who've preserved healing rituals despite suppression. Iconography, influenced by Sabina's poem "Heal Yourself," features plant and earth medicine motifs. Mycelium imagery reveals a praying mantis symbolizing the seer or prophet. Informed by Carlos Plazola's decriminalize nature manifesto, the pieces bridge the natural and supernatural in divinatory rituals.
